The anticipation is over, the tour has rolled on, and we are left contemplating the memory of the unreadable blur of colourful jerseys that stalled the city for several hours yesterday morning.

I was lucky enough to watch the depart from a window in Emmanuel College – lucky, not because it was the best view, but because it was the most comfortable wait. I had a chair and a sandwich and a glass of wine. Here is what it looked like – notice the staff of John Lewis waving tiny flags in the window of their shop.
